The valanced sheet was a perfect fit. The colour navy is a rich deep navy exactly what i wanted. The tabric is of good quality and not thin/ sheer. I will ordermore in a different color. Excellent buy.

I have always used a valance sheet on my bed and have purchased several over the years. They add that finishing touch and look great but are becoming less popular and therefore difficult to find in the shops. I was delighted to see this one on Amazon at such a good price but should have taken greater notice of the “extra deep” description (my fault). So yes the frill is indeed extra deep and you would need an extremely high bed to use in the traditional way (ie UNDER the mattress). My bed is by no means low but the only way I can use this valance is as a bottom sheet as under the mattress it trails on the floor and look ridiculous! While the valance looks great , it is totally impractical for me. It means I can not have any other sheet either top or bottom as you can’t tuck them in because of the valance (sounds complicated but think about it for a minute and you’ll see what I’m saying). Personally I think a valance is intended for decorative purpose and you spoil it if you are having to keep washing it each week. However, if it doubles as your bottom sheet then you will have to keep washing not to mention ironing the frill (a tedious time consuming job). So I give a massive 5 stars for the quality, the competitive price and the colour match which is exactly as the picture. Sadly for me though it’s a miserable 1 star for the practicality. So I’ve averaged my rating as 3 stars,

Good fit

I have just bought another Deep Valance as I liked the first one. However, although I ordered the same colour as before it more purple than wine. I am a bit disappointed as it not what I expected but I have decided to keep it anyway.
