Very efficient unit. Runs hotter than other units of its size and power consumption.

These Dimplex Hi-efficiency electric base board heaters are physically much smaller than the "traditional style" heating units. Since the heat stream comes directly up from the unit, rather than out the front in a traditional style unit, you must be aware of what is located directly over the unit (towels, curtains, drapes, etc) to be sure it is not located too near or directly on the unit. In my opinion, definitely NOT a fire hazard but heat can discolor some materials positioned too close. This was the third purchase of these units for my projects.
