Size:1/4" This Kerick PF06 oval float ball is 6" in diameter. It is made of polyethylene for resistance to corrosion and to deterioration from sunlight, is molded in one piece to resist leakage, and has 1/4"-20 female threads. It is intended for use with 3/8" to 1" inlet float valves and 1/4"-20 threaded rods (sold separately). As part of a float valve installation, it is suitable for use in a variety of applications, such as fountains, livestock water tanks, and chemical manufacturing plants.Float valves use a rod and float ball attached to a valve shutoff lever to control flow in or out of a tank. The float ball rises or falls with the level of liquid in the tank, changing the angle of the valve shutoff lever. When the angle of the valve lever changes sufficiently, the valve opens or closes. Float valves are rated according to the volume of liquid that can flow through them at a particular pressure to ensure the tank can be refilled as quickly as it is emptied. The material that a float valve is constructed from must be suitable for the liquid in which it operates, which may be corrosive or at an extreme temperature. Float valves are used to automatically regulate the level of liquid within tanks in a variety of applications, such as fountains, livestock water tanks, cooling towers, and chemical manufacturing plants.Kerick Valve manufactures fluid level control valves for industrial applications. The company, founded in 1994, is headquartered in Jacksonville, FL. #productDescription { color: #333333; word-wrap: break-word; font-size: small; line-height: initial; margin: 0.5em 0px 0em 25px; } #productDescription_feature_div > h2.default { color: #CC6600; font-size: medium; margin: 0 0 0.25em; } #productDescription_feature_div > h2.books { color:#333 !important; font-size:21px !important; line-height: 1.3; padding-bottom: 4px; font-weight: normal; margin: 0px; } #productDescription_feature_div > h2.softlines { color:#333 !important; font-size:21px !important; line-height: 1.3; padding-bottom: 4px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0px; } #productDescription > p, #productDescription > div, #productDescription > table { margin: 0 0 1em 0; } #productDescription p { margin: 0em 0 1em 1em; } #productDescription h3 { font-weight: normal; color: #333333; font-size: 1.23em; clear: left; margin: 0.75em 0px 0.375em -15px; } #productDescription table { border-collapse: inherit !important; margin-bottom: 0; } #productDescription table img { max-width: inherit !important; } #productDescription table td { font-size: small; vertical-align: inherit !important; } #productDescription ul li { margin: 0 0 0 20px; } #productDescription ul li ul { list-style-type: disc !important; margin-left: 20px !important; } #productDescription ul ul li { list-style-type: disc !important; margin-left: 20px !important; } #productDescription > ul ul li { list-style-type: disc !important; } #productDescription ul li ul li { margin: 0 0 0 20px; } #productDescription .aplus p { margin: 0 0 1em 0; } #productDescription small { font-size: smaller; } #productDescription.prodDescWidth { max-width: 1000px } P.when('jQuery').execute(function($){ $("#productDescription table").each(function() { var width = $(this).attr('width'); if (width) width += 'px'; else width = 'auto'; $(this).css('width', width); var padding = $(this).attr('cellpadding'); if (padding) padding += 'px'; else padding = '0px'; $(this).css('padding', padding); }); });

Quick Fix for Internal Leaking Toilet tank, for large commode tanks only
My old commode needed repair. The existing tank ball was rather small. When the ball lifted the shut-off lever, the lever often did not close completely, perhaps due to corrosion. I would have to take the lid off the commode tank and lift the lever to get the water to stop its internal leak and wasting of water. So I decided to buy this 6 inch diameter ball, which cured the problem. The existing tank ball was only about 4 inches in diameter. The 6 inch ball has much more buoyancy power & lifts the shut-off arm with more force. So now my commode no longer has the internal leak. The water shuts off all the way. Note that this 6 inch ball will probably not fit inside a modern toilet commode water tank (too big). But I have an old model commode with a bigger tank, & this 6 inch ball does fit, just barely. I wish someone made a 5 1/2 inch diameter ball. They do sell a square/ rectangular solid shaped ball which would probably fit and give extra buoyancy power also.This 6 inch ball also crowds the inside of the tank and causes me to use less water when I flush the commode; it prevents all the water from flowing out the flapper hole in the bottom of the tank also, which means there is always a little down pressure on the flapper to prevent it also from leaking.

Very nice
Works exactly as expected. In replacing a 20 year old system, this thing along with a new valve worked so well i wondered wh I had not replaced them years ago. Super easy to instal.
