It’s ok, but when compared to honey or actual syrup it does have a synthetic taste to it.

I ordered the golden & maple syrup twin pack- the syrups taste nice, although they are quite runny, but offer a good alternative to the higher calorie versions.The squeeze tops are useless though! You squeeze the bottle and nothing happens and then all of a sudden the syrup wooshes out everywhere, usually missing where you want it.

These are both delicious flavours. I love the idea that I can treat myself without the calories.

I bought these to make flapjacks. Both worked perfectly in place of golden syrup. Great value for money. Beautiful flavour, especially the maple syrup one.

As a diabetic I was excited to try these syrups, particularly the ‘Golden syrup’. I love the taste of the branded golden syrup so much that I still occasionally buy it to go on my porridge. But I need to control my blood sugars better, so decided to ignore some of the not so good reviews and give this a try. I love the Skinny Syrup coffee flavourings, so had reasonably high hopes.The first thing that struck me was the strong smell of burnt sugar (not the normal smell of golden syrup), which was sweet smelling - but not in a nice way. I was already expecting it to be runny, what I was not expecting was how much I would need to use to achieve a reasonable level of sweetness. I reckon I would have needed to use a third of the bottle, if the smell wasn’t already so off putting that is. I couldn’t even eat all of my porridge and threw away the rest of the bottle (I do hate waste but I hate clutter even more) as I wouldn’t even use it for cooking due to the weird smell.I haven’t tried the ‘maple syrup’ yet, but my expectations are so low that I’m not even sure if I’ll bother.Anyway, it’s safe to say I won’t be buying this again.
