I programed this unit according to the instructions. It says that when you can turn your TV On and Off, the unit will preform functions like turning the volume up and down and change channels. Well, it does not work! I found a phone number to call and I called the number and I got a recorded voice that says if you bought the item on eBay or Amazon to dial 1 and when I did this you get a recorded voice that says it is not a valid extension. There is no mention of the fact that if you return this item there will be a 30% restocking fee. They also want you to pay for the fees associated with the unit and provide a tracking number. By the time you do what they require there will be little to almost no money that this company will refund to you! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!! If this is not a scam, then I don't know what is!!!

This remote did work right out of the package with my small Suddenlink DTA box. I used option 1 in the instructions to link it to my Vizio TV and it works fine also. This is exactly like the remote that came with the DTA box except this has "Motorola" at the bottom of the front of the remote. The one that came with the DTA box has no label on the bottom. Other than that, I can't tell them apart. It's nice to have a second remote because the buttons on these things wear out and stop working pretty quickly with heavy use.

The remote works great! I had tried requesting one through suddenlink and got the run around only to be told "just get a universal one" by an employee of suddenlink. Because of the provider universal doesn't work. So if you encounter a similar issue I DO recommend this product. Works great!

this is the second one I have ordered. (new puppy) The price is great, It came fast and the set up right on the back panel. It could not have been any easier. Would buy again, just hope I will not have too.
