Fantastic bidet
This is a fantastic piece. I upgraded from from the basic Tushy, which works well enough but is impossible to clean around. This unit, which costs less, is better in every way: simple install, quality materials (really love the way all the parts snap together, very satisfying and easy to remove), temperature control, retractable/self cleaning nozzle (this is a must). Best in class and worth twice what they’re charging.

Good quality bidet easy to install - beware of the pressure!
Installation was easy and only took a few minutes. There are some good youtube videos on this if you have questions, but I only needed a pair of pliers to loosen the old nuts. Hand tightening is recommended and works just fine. Mine came with an extra washer that I didn't use.If you've never used one before my best advice is don't turn it on full blast the first time. It has some serious water pressure and can provide quite a shock if you're not ready for it. If it hits you just right it could hurt at full blast! Turn it on GRADUALLY. The first click seems to be a mist of some kind, and turning towards the second click is the jet. The cold water was not an issue even though I thought it would be. Turns out you're not as temperature sensitive down there as I thought. My only complaint is that it isn't available in off-white. It does fit well even though I bought the elongated one and needed the round. It still fits and works as expected. If you're coming from a standard toilet seat the build quality may feel inferior. It is lightweight plastic and can buckle when you sit on the top lid. The actual business seat is quite sturdy and doesn't move or wiggle.

Better than expected
I'm pleasantly surprised with the bidet/seat. It really gets you clean and I will always have one of these from now on! So getting one of these is an absolute no brainer, just do it. The bigger question is: do you need the hot water feature or not?I had originally wanted to get a powered full featured seat, but as I researched, I thought a non-powered one would be fine, and this one has a hot water hookup which was really the only feature I cared about on the fancy electric ones. There are a bunch of competitors in the non-powered bidet space, and a lot of them are cheaper than this one, but I really wanted the hot water feature so settled on this one. In hindsight, living in Florida, the water is actually not that freezing cold out of the tap, and after a few test runs, I've found standard cold water feels pretty good, so a standard "cold" tap water unit would probably have been ok. If I had it to do over again, I'd have saved the install hassle of the hot water and just got a single water source unit. Not that it was difficult at all to install the hot water, maybe took 10 extra minutes; it took me more time to get my drill and find the right bit to make a hole for the plastic tube that's included for the hot water feed.In order to get hot water, you really need to run the sink's hot water for a few minutes for it to get hot (the seat taps off the hot water coming to the sink), so I've found myself not even wanting to wait for the hot water sometimes, and the cold has been just fine. That said, when I do have the water hot at the sink and use the bidet, the hot water is really nice. You can adjust the mixture of hot to cold to get a comfortable temperature. In addition, you can also use this seat without the hot water tap, it comes with a plug for the hot water tap that disables it, but if you know you don't want hot water, it makes no sense to buy this one and cap off the hot water tap, just buy one without the hot water feature.Install is simple, just be sure to tighten up all the joints properly, I had to re-tighten a few times gently to get them 100% water tight (better to under tighten at first so as not to damage the fittings). As to comments about the seat opening diameter, it is narrower than a standard seat, but really it's not a big deal at all, it's a very comfortable seat with plenty of clearance for an average size person to do their business. So why 4 stars and not 5? The plastic fittings that are used for plumbing off the seat seem cheap and I wonder as to their long term durability. The plastic tubing for the hot water also does not seem all that durable as to last for many years. Other than that, it's a really nice seat, and even if you don't get this one, you'll love having a bidet in the house and these non-powered seats are simply the easiest way to go.

Great value. Would buy again.
This is my first time purchasing a bidet. While there are a lot of bidets out there with various fancy features, e.g. heat/warm water, electronic controls, etc... and wondered if I would be missing out by not having those features, after purchasing and using the Brondell, I do not feel like I am missing out on anything. I also believe that keeping it simple means it will be less likely to break or fail. The bidet has one job to do and this unit does it well. It gets you clean and allows you to use less toilet paper. The interface is incredibly simple to use. Installation was a breeze and included everything you need. As for the lack of heat / warm water, this may vary from home to home, but I do not find the water cold at all. (I do keep a fairly fixed temperature on my thermostat, so I suspect my pipes do not get as cold as they otherwise could.)I will however add that my wife tried the feminine feature and found that the reach was not right for her. I can see how a woman might want one that offers more fine tuning. It is for this reason that I have given it 4 stars instead of 5. If you do not need the feminine feature, then this unit is a 5 out of 5.Aside from the feminine feature, if I could add just one thing to my wish list, it would be for a bidet seat made of ceramic/porcelain. I do not believe one exists on the market. That said, while I worried this seat would not be as comfortable or nice as the normal ceramic seat it replaces, I actually found this plastic seat to be more comfortable to sit on, such that I do not mind at all that it is plastic. The plastic does keep the cost down and means I would not worry much if it broke and needed replacing with a new unit.

Quality product and pretty easy to install
Excellent quality. Works perfectly, the knobs have a secure feel to them. Seems like a product that will last for years and years. Easy to install the cold water. The hot took a little more ingenuity in my bathroom (may be diff in yours), but so worth getting the dual temperature if you're plumbing supports it. I thnk this product is very reasonably priced.
