It seems simple and he can enjoy it for long periods of time
This game reminds me of a retro football game from my childhood. My 7 year old son does not play video games but is a very big football fan. He absolutely loves this game! It seems simple and he can enjoy it for long periods of time. The sounds can get slightly annoying with loud buzzing, but he is able to turn down the volume for longer car rides.

Fun, Retro Game
Nice retro game to pass the time with. Very simple to play like the original and good value for what it is.

Retro fun memories
I got the games to keep me occupied for the treatment I have to do for my worsening ms and 2 strokes. They are passible for retro games and not as good as the original ones from Mattel and Coleco but they work

Great Replica for Play but definitely Not a substitute for an original game addict of 70's
Great Replica for Play but definitely Not for an original game addict replacement. If this is a gift for a newbie then you will enjoy the retro game play technology, it's fun and simple and seems built well. However, if you want to be taken back to your childhood days of championship glory, look elsewhere for an original. This is a look alike that gets the adrenaline flowing until you discover that the right side keye are off center, in comparison to the original , and that the perimeter of the keys is to high to allow playing the right side as I the original. Those distractions pale however when you finally do score and find out that you are rewarded with an alternative goal reponse, and not the original tune hymn that played after a touchdown.Having Trained as an attorney, I understand the the attempt to deny infringements with Matel' classic sound, but those few details totally ruin the remenisance wanted or craved by an Alumni of the game; and in all practicality do very little to protect against an obvious copying of the original. If you miss the real one, go buy an original one, because this one will truly disappoint. If you or the recipient have never played an original and want a retro game, the price and quality are great, so enjoy it.In closing, I will say that the original was about $35 in 1979, which was not peanuts by any stretch of consumption. So that replacement today of $27 is relatively cheap and probably well worth the throwback fun, if that's what you want to share with a novice. For, me, I would recommend a preserved $50 or $100 original anytime over tHe imitation that just cannot meet the hand held playing accuracy or the rewarded music playing memories of a touchdown. I did have an original and they do hold up with care to be a worthy buy.

Blast from the past
Bought this for when the power goes out for hurricane season. Had one as a kid and figured it would give me something to do when we don’t have power or I actually get bored. Great blast from the past.
