Great tool for beginners
I’ve been golfing for just over two years. I bought the zepp two weeks ago. Since then, I’ve used it on the course twice and at the range once. I found the data useful for figuring out what I was doing wrong.- Very easy to use. On the range, you just set a club, use the lock screen feature and swing away. It records every swing you take with that club.- While the data may not be accurate, it is consistent and trends in the correct direction.- With my phone in the right front pants pocket, it recorded decent estimate of hip rotation.- Shot score depends purely on the sensor numbers, so it may not necessarily correlate to good shots. I’ve had shots where the sensor shows 85+, but I hit it thin or fat.Overall, I’ve figured out multiple mistakes and made improvements over just three sessions. Definitely a buy for a beginner.UPDATE: After using this device for a month, I identified multiple issues with my swing. My handicap has dropped from ~36 to a steady 18!UPDATE 2: I figured out the video feature where it records a swing based on the sensor input! Now I have video to go with the numbers for each swing!

Worth the purchase
I had taken a break from golf do to work. So, I have issues with my swing, tempo, etc and now I'm much older. I wasn't sure about this purchase as there are a few different devices on the market. It made sense to me that it didn't attach to the club like others.I've been using it now for a couple days. I'm pretty impressed with the device and app. I had read reviews that did not have good things to say about the instruction manual. The key to understanding the device and how to use it came from the Zepp website. They go into some pretty good detail on what the numbers mean and how to operate the device. The one thing I'm still not clear on is using the device on the golf course. I'm not sure I need to have some thing other than yardage to worry about there. I have another device from another vendor that work quite well for yardage. One other thing I noticed is there are reviews saying the the club speed reading is off by quite a bit of for shorter clubs. I have another launch monitor by another vendor and it reads more accurately. Having said that. I may need to be more precise in my grip and club description in the Zepp setup.Bottom line for me... It's awesome for practice and honing your swing. The numbers are great, but the best part is the 3D rendering of your swing.Just another note... It wasn't registering hip turn. I read today on the Zepp site that you need to put your phone which is connected to the Zepp device in your back pocket. It was reading 0 AND 0. The site says it uses info from your phone from hip turn. I had it sitting and a chair on the range. All in all. 4 stars... I also printed out the manual from their website. I haven't tried the swing video function or the golf course function. They could be described in more detail on the Zepp website. I have another device I use for video

I would hit it amazing and other times not
So I just got this about 4 days ago. Calibrate is a pain sometimes but might just take a few times.....you have to be REALLY still!!My biggest issue was a consistent swing. I would hit it amazing and other times not. I always left a HUGE divot b/c my swing was off. I had not played in 5 years really, and after that time off I was starting over with my swing. I had got into working out a lot. This has helped me so much already!! I took it in back yard and just swung about 80x a day for 3 days. Working so far with irons with NO BALL. After a few days I went to the driving range today and WOW!!!! I 90% of the time left the smallest divot, much more solid contact. Still need some work but my IRON swing has improved so much!!!My tempo is too fast at a 2.5:1 ration still and even when I try to improve it more it's not showing. HOWEVER my swing was 2:1 or worse and slowing down and seeing that has done wonders.REALLY HELPED SO FAR!!!Sometimes I get a 88 and didn't hit a great shot but I'm trying to build a consistent swing.... I would hit great shots before and my form was way off...so Again only looking at process right now but the results have been impressive so far!!!!UPDATE: After A few weeks it really has helped me. n One thing I wish this could do is club face angle or even angle of impact to the ball. Overall. Good for helping with swing plane and on target. The app helps with those but I was coming in at a very tough angle and hurting shots. Wish this could have helped me realize that earlier.

Works great, as long as all you’re wanting is a club path analysis.
Was excited to receive product in immediately charged it and took it to the range. The good, the swing analyzer and club path is pretty cool. I’ve been trying to work on flattening out my downswing and it does seem to record these fairly well. Especially the hand path. It’s fairly easy to use but from my understanding there’s more information on the website such as how to get it to measure hip rotation. From what I read in another review you actually have to put the phone in your pocket to record hip rotation. Why not have another sensor or two to put on your belt? I have to admit I did not know that. So if all you’re wanting is a analysis club path and hand path it’s perfectly fine. Now for the bad. First I am an android user. The website clearly says that there is an app for android. There is not. I consider this false advertising plan on returning it if this does not get remedied. I ended up having to use my wife’s old Apple phone. Nothing like lugging two phones to the range. Sorry the android thing is huge for me. Second, as in other reviews, clubhead speed is not accurate. I know how fast I swing the driver. It’s at least 10 mph off on that, but yet I can swing my hybrid almost the exact same speed it says I’m swinging my driver and I know that’s not correct.
