Best quality for the price
If you need a great quality automatic watch for the price, this is it. The beautiful blue dial really stands out and it looks great with a suit as well as jeans. The day & date displays are easy to read and has a rotating bezel for timing up to one hour. It is dive certified at 200m but I don’t dive anymore so it’s a novelty at this point.

Best automatic diver watch for starters
Great looking watch, good price/value ratio. Easy to read hour and date, comfortable silicon strap. High hopes on Orient's quality and precision, it seems to be about +15 seconds per day. Initially 5 stars, will update review if needed.** Edit 1 month laterI use my Orient every day, including daily 40 min. commute by bicycle. I even raided a couple of days under heavy rain. Feels great knowing both watch and band are made for the task.Dress code at work is Business Casual, so this watch fits perfectly well, not too dressy and not too sporty.Being my first automatic watch, I didn't knew accuracy varies according to how you put your watch to rest at night. After reading about this, I experimented by placing it on a different position every night, and found that leaving it in vertical position crown to the right (look at the picture) makes it gain about 2 seconds/12 hours. After this, average accuracy has been about +7 seconds/24 hours, which seems to be great by mechanical watch standards.I wish the band were shorter, I have 7" wrists and I have tu use it on 1 or 2 holes before the last, so part of the band "floats" over the back of my wrist.Overall, very satisfied.** Edit after 2 monthsI replaced the silicon strap with a NATO, comfort is significantly improved, I never seemed to find the right hole to use with the rubber strap.Ray II looks great with a black NATO, highly recommended. Now I want to try different colors to cope with this new addiction.

Great Looking Watch...
-To all--this is probably worth reading. This watch is self-winding--however, if you put it in your drawer for two days, it is going to stop. I thought my watch and/or battery was bad--however, there is no battery in the watch. I am re-rating the watch to the original post. When I called Amazon, they didn't know to ask me this simple question--did you wind the watch? Or had you been wearing it? That would have saved me some (un-knowledgable, un-informed) time concerned about obtaining a return. Orient's Customer Service via phone--was fantastic!-Happy with this first purchase of an Orient watch. I’m impressed with the quality of the features and functions and the look. My watch, as I read with the other reviews is also running a bit fast, and in the first week of use, I’ve had to adjust the time—disappointing. I would have rated a 5-Star if it wasn’t running fast. Rubber wristband is great—high quality and comfortable. I’ve been a Casio guy for this type watch—Orient may have won me over...

Great Watch, But!
Well built watch,, very attractive, However, Pulling the crown out is very hard and its practically impossible to back wind it to find the notch to screw the crown down to the locked position to make it waterproof. i read before buying how good it keeps time, mine gains from 15 to 30 seconds a day, some days it gains even more. Which with the difficulty manipulating the crown and moving it to its locked position after resetting. Makes this watch very unpractical. PS I hardly ever leave a negative review this was given to relative as a gift so I fel lout of the return time as it was returned to me past that point. UPDATE/ Well I've been wearing this watch everyday and I'm adding a update this watch has become more accurate, it now gains between 7 to 10 seconds a day, very acceptable. Secondly, the crown has become easier to pull out and the gap to tighten crown has become easier to find. This has turned out to be a great watch!

Great watch but...
Great watch, and excellent value. Two things to keep in mind: (1) the rubber bracelet is quite long if you have smaller wrists. Also, the strap keeper only goes up so far on the band because of the folds in the rubber, so if you have smaller wrists, theres going to be a lot of rubber hanging out. (2) The rubber strap version of this watch DOES NOT FIT many of the aftermarket bracelets available (i.e. Strapcode, Island Watch to name a few). Apparently they drill the lugs differently for the rubber strap version, so if you want to put this on a metal bracelet at some point, you might want to consider going with the model that already comes with a bracelet (its about $8 more as of this writing).

Best Watch Purchase
I have purchased a large number of watches over the years, and I have been disappointed by either the size or the thickness or luminance of the face. Thus watch is the perfect size and thickness as I have small wrist. The watch is beautiful and has screw down crown with day/date window. The band is a hard rubber and is quite long, so I had to trim the end. This watch is automatic, so no need to ever have a Battery but beware if you do not wear for a few days, you will have to wind and reset the time and date. This is a very comfortable and stylish watch and I am so glad I have finally found one that pretty much meets every need.
