Q: how high is the 7th step from the ground on the 8 foot ladder?

With the ladder open, I measured 79 3/4" to the top of the 7th step. Keep in mind that the 7th step is not intended to be stood on.

Yes, it will stand by itself, but can be folded and leaned against a wall if necessary.

Q: Can u place a paint can on top of the ladder?

No, or at least I haven't found a way to do it. It is the only thing I do not like about the ladder. The top has cubbies for tools and hardware and a magnetic area, but nothing to help you with paint pans or cans. I do really like the ladder though, and was just using it tonight to paint a wall!

Q: is this ladder adjustable for work on angled roofs?

Hi, Daniel, I'm not sure what your question means. Are you asking whether you can lay it on a roof to work on the roof as you might an extension ladder with a hook at the top, the answer is that there is not a way to secure the ladder to substitute for that kind of extension ladder. It does work great leaned up against a wall as well as opened up like a regular step ladder. And it is possible to lean it against the corner of a building without being extended and be able to go up it to easily access corner tasks up high.
