So, I finally decided to bring the TORCHSTAR Metal Desk Lamp with Clamp into my life, and let me tell you, this lamp is a total game-changer. It attaches to my desk with a grip so tight, I’m pretty sure it could hold on through an earthquake. I love how it eliminates any worries about the lamp falling over when I reach for my coffee or elbow-deep into a project. It’s secure, reliable, and it keeps everything in place like a pro.Setting this bad boy up was a breeze. The clamp mechanism is straightforward—just twist it on, and you’re good to go. The adjustable arm is a dream come true. It bends, twists, and rotates into just about any position you could need, allowing me to direct the light exactly where I want it. Note To Marketing: this should be know as "Great Little Lamp". I have six of these: one in each corner of my study as indirect lighting, one clamped to either end of my desk for added lighting while doing close-up work. All have 3000K LED bulbs.I have noticed that the post into which the lamp fits into the base is less solid and more flexible on this newer lamp than on the earlier ones.For some weird reason this last one had sand in the box !

Arrived quickly. Much more thin and lightweight materials than expected but base is heavy enough to support the lamp. Feels a little flimsy and positioning the arm is not very smooth or flexible. Certainly not an equivalent replacement for my old 1960s swing arm pulley assisted draftsman lamp. Clamp is some type of plastic-rubber and flexes a lot so will not get super tight but also probably won't split or crack -- I bought it for the multiple direction clamp feature but ended up using the base and taking up desk space anyway. It is small but cute (i.e., Pixar). Although most any standard base bulb will screw in, the head is really designed for a PAR30 short neck bulb (not included) which will add several dollars to your investment. But not a bad little light for the price.

Great lamp! Heavy base so it stays upright. Adjustable so you can shine it where you need it! Nice and bright and attractive to look at !

This lamp works really well on my art desk but the cord is fairly short so keep that in mind

while it does come with a weighted base and a clamp... the weighted base is really not that useful. if the lamp assembly gets more than 8 inches from the base, it becomes pretty wobbly. the clamp is all plastic. it's a functional light with a decent range of adjustment but, the base is very lacking. also, the plastic cover on the base flexes heavily when moving the light around.

OK the only reason I’m giving it a four star is I think it needs to be about a $13 light if that maybe $9.99Reason being is the base is an absolute piece of crap and the lamp itself is actually really nice. It’s super lightweight. Very easy to carry around. I’m buying seven of them for when I do my Jewelry trade shows.However, I’m telling you right now the plastic clamp that holds it to the table it blows my mind. It’s 100% plastic. That thing is not gonna hold up and the base that it comes with not that I would ever use. It is absolute garbage. it broke immediately out of the box however, with that being said, it’s super bright definitely is going to work for my purposes not to mention it’s not bulky and it’s very lightweight. I think my review is very honest.
