WELKINLAND 88-Pockets Electrician's Tool Bag - Electrician, Technician, HVAC & Laptop Tool Bag

I don't write a lot of reviews, but when I buy something that really impresses me I have no problem telling others about it.With 30 years in the IT business I finally broke down and bought myself a brand new laptop. In doing so my old Dell laptop case just wasn't going to cut it anymore. It held in well for a lot of years, but being an IT business owner/tech I carry around a lot of tools and the old bag was falling apart.I found the Welkinland 88 pouch laptop/tool bag in a search for a new rugged bag that would hold up well with all I carry and I've got to say I wish I had been looking for new laptop bags earlier. This thing is AWESOME! Not only does it provide a well-padded pouch for my new laptop in the center, but the storage in this thing is insane! There are zip-up and Velcro pouches ALL OVER this thing, on EVERY side. All 4 sides of this thing have external zip-up pouches on the exterior that hold more stuff than my previous bag did all on their own. But the big prize in this bag are the full zip-down sides of the center/laptop storage section side of this thing that open up to reveal an entire tool palette on either side and provide tons of storage for every IT guy tool I carry plus some. I have screwdrivers, pliers, precision tools, USB thumb drives, cutting tools, wrenches, USB docking bays, a couple hard drives, etc., etc. in this bag. If I was to guess I have somewhere around 50-60 pounds of stuff in this thing. The bag itself isn't light weight either. This bag is REALLY well made out of a heavy-duty nylon fabric that feels like something military-grade. The zippers are all heavy duty as well. NOTHING about this bag feels cheap at all.I I absolutely HAD to complain about anything with this bag it would be the breakaway carrying handle on the top. When it's pulled together it forms a very comfortable round rubbery plastic handle, but it comes apart easily, which can make it awkward to pick up with a heavy load of tools inside. I feel like it should interlock lock together somehow with snaps or something and latch together versus just a press-fit design. This is just a nitpicky thing for me and doesn't merit any downgrade in my review of this product.I'm not often impressed by the products I buy these days... especially in this economy, but this thing is GREAT! Highly recommended.

Awesome Bag

Bought this for my 25 year old son and he loved it. Has so many pockets very durable. A bit more than other products but if you want a lot of pockets for organizing than so worth it.

It works pretty well as a general hardware tech bag, but it's a bit annoying how unstable this thing is when opened up. In its defense, I'm not using the backside for all the wrenches, but when I loaded all the wrenches in the designated spots with all the other tools in it, the bag's weight was at a point where you would want something with wheels.The bit pouches are pretty much useless; the bits don't stay in them.It's worth the money for what I do, but I would go with something else if I were still working as an electrician, as there are not enough pockets for larger handle tools.

If you are in networking or electrical this is the best product for staying organized.

Have only had this bag long enough to load it up with my tools. My first reaction is that it feels like the construction quality I would expect for the money, but the pocket designs are rewally not well suited to my needs...I've read a couple reviews about zippers or the strap failing. I've not had this long enough to know for sure. But at this point, they both seem to function well enough. The zippers operate smoothly. The strap hardware sewn to the bag seem beefy enough, though the swivel clips on the ends of the strap are not. The material overall feels rugged and the pockets are stitched well.But my issue is the pockets sewn into the bag to not seem to match the variety of work that I do. One set of pockets does work well for the range of pliers and cutters, etc that I need. But while I need both metric and SAE wrenches, there is only one set of pockets for wrenches. The pockets for screwdrives seem 'okay' but not impressive in how they hold the screwdrivers. And there is one flap that has a gazillion tiny pockets, like intended for a full set of drill bits, which I do not think I will find useful as I would rather just throw the case of bits into the main pocket.In general it's fine. I did not see any other tool bags on Amazon that look more functional for my neeeds regardless of the price, so I expect I will keep this.

Tool bag is larger and more heavily constructed than I expected. Very spacious interior and will likely hold more tools than I will want to carry.

I have used Xcelite tools and bags for over 20 years. This tool bag held all my Xcelite tools and had plenty of room to spare. The inner section is great for a laptop and larger tools like a drill. It has durable fabrics and the zippers seem to be very strong. I would purchase this bag again.
