Great shower and good price
Had this shower for a few weeks now and we are really pleased with it.Its well built with very smooth on and off handle. The unit is very good quality, the small shower head has a long hose which is easy long enough to stretch to the other side of the bath. The head is plastic but good still feels like it is good quality and as long as the Mrs doesn't squirt bleach on it, will last for years.Fitting was a breeze, even for a non experienced person like myself. The instructions were simple enough and easy to follow. This was a replacement for a old shower by a different company and I used the existing pipes, however if I was installing it from scratch I would double check the main shower head was up high enough.

Great buy and very good quality
Really pleased with this shower. I was lucky and able to use existing plumbing to install so took about an hour. Very good quality as you’d expect from Bristan and works perfectly. The materials they use are finished very well and the whole thing has a reassuring solid weight and lovely finish.

Well made.
The shower is very good, the ability to service the mixer valve should mean a long life, but the instructions are not up to the quality of the shower. Assemble the riser and arm to see if there is enough height to fit it before drilling the holes for the top support. If not enough room shorten the riser at the bottom and remove any burrs before assembling. Happy days.

Absolutely fabulous
Oh, what can I say. This shower is the bees knees. It looks good, feels good and makes my bathroom look good. The shower is a fantastic piece of kit. It is now a pleasure to have a shower. My husband, who loved his baths, has now taken to having a shower! The option of using the soaker or the smaller extra head is a real bonus so you can be as wet as you like! I would thoroughly recommend this shower, don't hesitate, you won't be disappointed. By the way, it runs off a combi boiler and so is much cheaper than the electric shower we used to have. I wish we'd bought this earlier.

Sleepless nights. Manufacturer:' The problem you have described sounds like capilliary action.'
The media could not be loaded. Purchased this in March 2020. This replaced another unit installed a month earlier to replace one we had had for a number of years and no longer worked. The (new replacement) dripped cold water from the main head when I was using the diverter head, so it had to go. Unfortunately, all shower units have different fixing points, so hubs agreed to remove the (new) unit and replace with another new one, but under the condition that he would not be removing the new one again as it would mean replacing tiles again etc etc. (Still with me??) So, I speedily went off and researched a new unit. We’ve had Bristan taps in the past and they’ve always been good quality and lasted years with general everyday wear-and-tear, so it seemed sensible to consider their shower units. I did a few hours of research, and found that this unit would suit our needs. This was one of two that look the same, but the other was considerably more expensive. I tried to establish, on Amazon and the Bristan site, the spec of both units as, if the more expensive unit was superior, I’d spend the extra out on that one, but to no avail. I posted the question on Amazon, and the seller advised to contact Bristan, which I did. The sales guy was pleasant enough and tried to help, but he didn’t know the difference either. Given the drip issues with the previous unit, I asked if they drip and explained why I was asking. ‘No’ was the answer; ‘once they’re shut off the water does not move through the system’. Naturally, water may exit the main shower head at the point for a while after switch-off, but once it’s drained, no problem. Perfect, I thought. As there seemed to be no difference to mention between the two, I’ll go for the cheaper option. It arrived within the timeframe stated and was duly fitted. At this point I should mention that my husband is experienced with plumbing and has been for a good number of years. Looked great, and couldn’t wait to use it. Well, the main head dripped cold water, even when it hadn’t been used for 23 hours. This is not a regular occurrence but when it does happen it’s rather unpleasant. Hubs showers after me in the morning, and uses the main head; I use the diverter. So, the real gripe with this unit … it drips, and at various times during the day, and worse than the (new) one we removed. I contacted Bristan again, and, in an email, some weeks later (my enquiry was referred to as ‘feedback’ and has been ‘passed to the relevant department’): ‘The problem you have described sounds like capillary action. This is a natural occurrence where excess water is expelled from a product after use. The water is held within the product due to an imbalance of pressures. As these equalise the water will be released. The water can either exit the product slowly or with a forceful 'gush'. In some instances, this can occur a while after use of the product, rather than straight away. Unfortunately there is nothing that we can advise to reduce this as this is a natural occurrence rather than a problem fault.’ Potential purchasers take heed of this post-sale information. Odd though, as none of our other shower units over the years have had this drip problem.Perhaps I could have been advised of this prior to purchase? I’ve included a video with this review. It was taken at 11.35 am ish, and the shower had not been used for over 5 hours. It had been dripping for a couple of minutes before I took the video. To be fair, the audio is somewhat louder on the video, but nonetheless is like a type of torture, especially in the early hours of the morning. The shower is in an en-suite with a stud wall that my headboard sits against. At 2.30 a.m., this dripping wakes me from sleep; at 4.30 a.m., this dripping wakes me from sleep. The drip itself, always exits the same hole, so I’m expecting to see a deterioration at the drip point on my shower tray. It also creates more cleaning as the tiles/grout/screen are exposed to splashes of moisture for an extended period. It may not be relevant, but over the course of a year, how many litres of water is this wasting. Fortunately, I’m not on a water meter … I’ll put up with it for another 6 months, but I know I’ll have to fork out for another unit and pay a plumber and tiler to install - which for some would be an additional cost from the outset.

Excellent shower, great value
This is a superb shower which my plumber installed without any problem. The overhead waterfall shower is a good size and very powerful, it does continue to drip for a while afterwards as does the handheld shower, and if you move either they will drip again. This is personally not an issue for me or my wife, we both love the shower and its power which makes you feel very clean, had a Mira shower before which we thought was great until we installed the Bristan.Only slight criticism for me is that the diverter tap could benefit from a more obvious click when it is in the off position i.e. at its midway point so that neither the overhead or handheld showers are switched on. The click is easily missed when the shower is in operation, so requires some fiddling to ensure it is correctly switched off.The price is excellent and I saved £120 over buying on the high street, so come on the high street help yourselves to survive, because this does not help you but thanks Amazon great service and great product, again.

Good shower at a reasonable price
Just what I wanted; a large overhead shower (which, by the way, moves from side to side to help centralise it in the shower booth) and a useful diverter shower. The single diverter / on / off knob works well and the thermostat is responsive. Make sure you have enough clearance for the control unit as it is quite wide.
