Purchased this as a gift for a Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time game player. A great piece. A little tricky to balance on the "hand" base but looks really neat when you get it set up. This is a porcelain set and comes with a velvet bag and the song book.Great gift!

Great product first of all, beautiful and sounds nice. Though it was smaller than I thought, and it would be a lot easier to play if it were a little larger. But this is also subjective since everyone has different sized hands and mine are a little large for this. If they had an option for a larger version that would be nicer for someone like me.I've never played an instrument outside of the recorder in K-12, so the learning curve is more difficult for me to learn to play it. That is the only reason why I gave it 4 stars since the item shows pictures of finger placement on the holes, but does not recognize the musical notes by letter. This is both good and bad, good if you know how to read music and are a beginner looking to just play the songs that the book has, but bad if you eventually want to learn other songs on the instrument. Having said that, it is pretty easy to learn the songs in the book, but it takes a little practice with it.This is a great gift for any Zelda fan, even if they never play it, it makes a great display piece as it is very appeasing to the eye. The stand however, could be better as since both are the same material, there is some fraction and it can be tricky to get the item to sit up properly, so I would advice to have it rest on a wide surface with a towel beneath. It will take a little shake to have the Ocarina slip, and if it falls off someplace high, it can break.

He hasn't put it down since I gave it to him. I honestly thought it would be a piece of plastic that would hardly work but it is beautiful. It's a thick porcelain I'm guessing and is like a piccolo (for anyone who doesn't know it's a small flute)

It's to be expected when paying 20-30 bucks for one, but the ocarina is out of tune. Most notes to me sound flat. However, you can still play songs with it and it sounds relatively all right, but I overall recommend getting a more pricey ocarina if you want something that sounds good. Its great as a decoration piece, but the ceramic hand that holds the ocarina isn't the best at its job. if you don't find the perfect way to set the ocarina on it, it can and will fall over. So keep this in mind.

Good material quality. Plays well for a decorative piece. Feels nice to hold and has a good weight to it. Perfect gift for anyone who loves zelda. book is full of memorable songs.
