It’s silly putty.
My 2yo loves it. It’s messy, but easy to clean up when picking up with the putty itself. Some shreds of putty remain on my rug because I missed them when cleaning and they have now become a part of my rug. The silver sparkles are kinda cute I guess. What can ya do? It’s not sticky per se, but kinda like a controllable goo. More hard than soft imo. My child likes stretching it into thread like ribbons… I’d suggest to stay away from stretching the putty that thin if you remember what I said about my rug. But it’s a great toy for the road when you need something to occupy a child’s time on a plane or in a car seat and you go the no device route. The value is good because it comes with three or four colors. It was sometimes tough for 2yo to open without help… when he could get it open it was because the putty wasn’t on the seal and he squeezed the heck out of the egg. But, he could open and close it on his own about half the time. It’s a bit of a nostalgic toy for me, so I’m glad my son enjoys it too.
