Glad I found this filter. I was using the hang on the back filter that came with my tank. After adding some live plants to my aquarium the water became murky and green. I could barely see my fish.After installing this filter in place of the old one. I could see the difference in just 2 days. My water returned to crystal clarity. The uv system really works, and the aeration is great. It's also much quieter than what I had. It's only been a couple days. But so far I'm very happy with the product.

My tank is near a window in Texas. It seemed that the live plants, the excellently reviewed filtration systems, the water changes and all the other steps I took were all undone by a near constant algae bloom. 3 days after a complete water replacement I’d have the problem again. But this filter fixed my problem. The fish and plants love the aeration and my water has been crystal clear. I do have to feed my pleco algae tablets because the little bit of algae on the glass is just a snack for her, but the tank has never looked, and stayed looking, better. It was easy to install, easy to clean and easy to understand. I highly recommend!

I was very skeptical when I bought this because I have tried everything to clear my tank water with not much success. But I am beyond impressed with this . Placed in the tank as soon as it arrived on Thursday and every day there was improvement by Tuesday morning it looks like I have done a full tank tear down and clean. I have never had a problem with algae like this in the past but after a complete clean in mid December somehow it became a problem. It did take a bit longer to clear than the 72 hours but it does say larger tanks can take longer and it is a 55 gallon. So true to their word my tank is now back to normal and my fish are much happier and healthier. It was well worth the money and does a great job . Buy this if you have an algae issue you will be glad you did!!!! The pictures are what my tank looked like on day 1 day 3 and finally day 5

It does work! Keeps water clear and clean and is quiet and easy to maintain. However, after 3 months I noticed the water was getting murky. While cleaning the pump I noticed the UV bulb had stopped working. Expected it should last much longer than 3 months. I do not see a way to purchase a replacement bulb on the sellers site, so I guess I will have to find an entirely new pump.

This saved our tank! We set this tank up in January and had 2 good weeks before it started turning green and no matter what I did, I just couldn't get the water to come clear again. After some research I found this. I got is March 4th and put it in right away after 3 days I notices some improvements then finally after 4 more days the water was clear! I would give this a 5 star but my only problem with it is the power cord is short and the water outtake doesn't turn to a different direction, so where I put it, it blows right on the front of the tank. But definitely still worth it.

This worked great for my 20 gallon and cleared the water within five days!! The filter came fully assembled and I just had to pop it in my aquarium and turn in on, very easy! I have read some reviews about the battery dying out quickly. I have yet to experience this problem but would recommend buying extra bulbs just in case. I believe they sell four packs in their online Amazon store. 10/10 recommend for cloudy water from bacterial blooms! The pics are day 1 and day 6

Works as promised. My tank was in trouble with an algae bloom. Easy setup. Easy install. 6 days later, my water is crystal clear. I have had this tank for years, now I question why I ever had the filter system I have always been using.

We have always maintained and cleaned the unit per the instructions. I was really impressed while it was working as our tank was very pristine. But for the motor to stop working after only 4 months is a huge concern. I would advise to look elsewhere as this seems to be a common issue the more I read.Update 12/14/2024.Customer service was prompt in returning my inquiry for support. I was notified a replacement unit will be sent out shortly. Will update accordingly.
