This cooler is a must-have for anyone pushing their Raspberry Pi 5, especially with the AI board! I was running some intensive machine learning models and my Pi was getting toasty. This cooler snapped on easily and immediately made a difference. Temperatures dropped significantly, and the fan noise is barely noticeable, even under heavy load.It works perfectly in conjunction with the Raspberry Pi 5 AI board, keeping both components running cool. My only gripe is that finding a case to accommodate both the cooler and the AI board stacked together is proving to be a challenge. Hopefully, case manufacturers will catch up soon and offer more options.Despite the case compatibility issue, this cooler is essential for demanding applications on the Raspberry Pi 5. Highly recommended!

Fit like a glove & it keeping my PI5 cool

I got a passive cooler with my Pi5, so when I got the 26TOPs AI Kit, I had to go Active Cooling. This was easy to install and works great. If you are looking at dabbling with the AI Hat Kit this is a must have.

I had been running the Ice Tower, which definitely will average about 10c lower than this cooler, but this official Pi cooler has the advantage of providing VRM cooling and better case compatibility. It also keeps the Pi5 well below throttling temps, even when all cores and the GPU is fully loaded.That said, something like the Ice Tower (especially the newer revised version with VRM and chipset cooling) is a better choice if pushing overclocking with over-volting. This cooler doesn’t have enough mass or dissipation area to keep a heavily OC’d Pi 5 below throttling temps, in my experience. It’s also not nearly as quiet as the Ice Tower, which is virtually silent, whereas this cooler’s much smaller fan becomes quite noticeable once the fan curve hits it max, at around 75c.Overall it’s a good cooler, and a good default choice, but if maximum cooling, or near silent active cooling is desired, there are better options.

Great product! Ran silverbench CPU stress test while streaming a 1080 video with a half dozen tabs open to get the CPU usage up around 90% for a sustained period! 76c pwm controlled fan came on and brought it down to a steady 67c! Im adding a quad M.2 slot HAT so i can run 2 NMVe and 2 Halio AI modules!
