Perfect and easy to use.
The raw Raspberry Pi is not very good a sound and has no real music player. Enter the Audio DAC HAT.It fits the Pi perfectly. Has an extension to the Pins it plugs into allowing additional use of the Pins. Was very easy to set with very clear instructions on the website. All I need to do now is to find a case that takes the Pi, this audio hat and the 7inch touchscreen and I have a brilliant mobile device.Well done, Great product

Works ok depends what you want do
I try to use this in a raspberry project. And so mean, depends of you want to do can works well... the setup is ok and easy, just a little time and it’s done. Otherwise everything is different if you want to do something more specially, if your intention is do something different for Google Assistant or Alexa Pi will stay difficult because the docs focus a lot in that and at same point I start to get lost because the configuration for other assistants are different and the board start hiding the project... in the end, after lost some hours trying to put the project in the Alexa model because of the board I just give up and bought a microphone and a speaker. But if you want a simple project with Alexa Pi or Google Assistant the board works well and have informations!

It works better than the seeed studio version for smart assistant
Bought this to use with snips satellite. Unlike the seeed studio 2-mic respeaker hat, this one has a speaker, and was easier and faster to setup.I am really satisfied with the purchase.I have reused the hat for volumio, and it has been a great investment

Boutiquey hand build charm, love the lasered box, but odd bit of metal stuck to bottom of board
VERY expensive but I love a good project, but still, sometimes it's good to stand on the shoulders of giants and not reinvent the wheel. For efficiency's sake this is where all-in-one HATs like this really shine. First things to note are that I really loved the card box, it looks like they've made it themselves from recycled board on a laser cutter, with lovely gradiented scorch marks from the along the laser perforated lines at each of the fold points, properly maker-charming! It's definitely got a boutiquey hand-built feel with visible flux residue around the major components, which I'm fine with, however - and my only real concern for the HAT at all - there was a really odd length of metal stuck into the flux on the underside of the board, SEE PHOTO. I noticed this when inspecting and not being able to work out why it was there, gave it a swift poke to remove it. My concern is that there is a small chance that this could have created a short on the board if I had been less observant. It looks a bit like a component leg or something, but I'm 100% sure I didn't introduce this, as I was inspecting while sat on the sofa after a day at work, far from my home work space.I really appreciate the guide for getting set up on the website, and I'll update when I've got complete my build project!

Mic option + tech Support
If you thinking of buying the Mic option: Both connectors for the mic face downwards one of these is removable when you cut the pcb as instructed (Cable supplied is very short 10cm). That leaves the other which and will short on any heatsink you may have on your rpi. The connectors are 1.27mm pitch and great care is needed. Once the connector connected fouls pcb. That's if you can get it on in the first place. The instructions bash commands sometimes work and tech support well quote"The instructions are only a guide" end of support. Because you don't know what the software is doing then you can put it in the bin. These comments are not for the Zero only mainstream rpi boards

Stopped working and software instructions are useless
I waited eagerly for this to arrive in order to scare some people for Halloween. I tried to download the custom image but failed to unzip it using standard tools. The alternative says: 'just use the standard Raspian and install sox'. And then what???I found some other instructions on the website which had links to some other code. The wget function hung each time as 443 couldn't be resolved (SSL problems with the website hosting I guess). Eventually, I got the code and when running the 'test' program, only the right speaker worked initially. At one point, as if by magic, the left speaker worked as well. Now, neither works. I have reinstalled the software a few times, etc. Nothing - just dead.Even if it was working, I wouldn't know how to use it properly with the microphone as there is no sufficient documentation or sample programs to work from. Hence...Stay away. It's too expensive for 10 secs of fun.

Much better audio quality than standard pi
Great little audio hat - only four stars as it would be a perfect five if you could use a GPIO pin to turn the in-built speakers on or off. I've used it to give an old (but great quality) HiFi system Wifi, DAB radio, Amazon Audio, iTunes, NAS, and Google Assistant support. So when the HiFi volume is set low, you can still hear the in-built speakers. Only a small annoyance as I still want to be able to turn the in-built speakers back on at night so the wake up alarm does not need the HiFi switched on. Cannot fault the audio quality, no background hiss or noise depending on what the pi is doing.
