Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 - Xbox Series X

Finally, a game that captured the feel of the 40k universe. The "Dawn of War" series was awesome but was real-time strategy. The first "Space Marine" game was fantastic but still a bit cartoony in some respects - infinite pistol ammo? And yes, I know, the 40k universe is itself kind of cartoony in that so much of what it contains is a parody of the genre. Regardless, there has never been video game that truly captured the "grimdark" of the grim dark universe of 40k.The best part is the Tyranid mechanics; they're always portrayed as an unstoppable faceless hoard, which is both their appeal and what makes them scary. Having a handful of enemies onscreen is great, even a whole squad, but this game truly captures that sheer wave of mindless destruction that is the Tyranids. You truly understand that they have no interest in anything about you or what you represent, just biomass to be consumed.Great game, great feel, great customization, great multi-player- finally a PvP that gives various legions distinguishing traits rather than just a simple palette swap. Make sure you play the story with friends, it really does just add so much to it.Also, look up voice changers on YouTube, some folks have used voice effects to make themselves sound like actual Space Marines with hilarious dialogue. I couldn't stop laughing when I heard a Space Marine shout "In the name of the Emperor you shall call me your daddy!"

Love this game it's story is amazing

Everything about this game is great. The gameplay isn’t overly complex like a lot of new games, but it had enough depth to require skill to master. Outstanding story and graphics, and plenty of other content (operations and PVP) to play after beating the relatively short campaign. You can spend a lot of time in the post game content leveling up and customizing different classes, and all without any micro transactions. Gameplay in all modes is smooth and enjoyable. The characters and story don’t impose the developers morals on the players like so many games do now.All fun.No nonsense.

Extremely entertaining game. Great single player and fun multiplayer with a couple friends.

A classic experience all day!!!

I have been a Warhammer 40k fan, loosely, for about 25 years. Nothing too hardcore in any way so when this game came out I was all aboard. There is some level of fan-boy rating on this, but the story seemed to hit with the right markers for the universe. The playability would likely be better on PC with the type of game it is, but on console I thought this was a slam dunk for fluidity and function. The voice over work is killer, the visuals are stunning for the content, and I am glad to see what they did with the Warhammer 40k universe.One gripe I would have on this one is the story is shorter than I would otherwise like for a game costing $70 (got about 10-hours or so of gameplay). The game still has a multiplayer element to it, which I have not been able to play much of yet, so it could have some redeeming qualities for the price point. The weapons would be awesome to include more of them, but the company did great to the Warhammer 40k universe to what Space Marines commonly have. Overall, great game and I hope they push out some free DLC to make up on the shorter story mode.

Este juego me tomo por sorpresa y me encanto. Tiene bastante accion para mantenerme sumergido y tiene excelentes graficos. Lo recomiendo.
