Five Stars, Definitely worth upgrading from an A6 or older phone.
I upgraded from a A6, much bigger, faster and larger memory storage. Seems to charge slightly slower then my old phone and uses a USB C instead of the USB mini, and didnt come with a charger, just a data cable. Still, better price then getting from one of the carriers and being unlocked means I dont have to jump though all the hoops like I did for the A6. The fingerprint sensor is a tad sensitive and the first week I had trouble with it unlocking itself and somehow calling emergency services at least once, but it seems to have stopped.

Excellent Price to Performance
I bought this phone when I cracked the screen on my Galaxy S9 and realized that a replacement screen at $160 was only slightly less expensive than an entirely new phone.I initially looked at used phones in the Galaxy S series, but even these from a couple generations ago were not cheaper, and lacked some features. This phone is excellent. It has a large, bright screen. I'm a fan that it does not have rounded edges on the screen, which should help against breaking in the future. It has expandable storage, it can take a physical SIM card and an eSIM, and it's 5G capable. The only things I don't prefer about this phone is that the camera (despite the reported mega pixel count) seems like it over sharpens pictures to compensate for lower quality, the rumble/vibrate feels cheaper (and louder) than my previous phone, and there are a few occasions where it performs a bit sluggish or apps in the background have to restart due to limited memory. All in all, this phone has everything I wanted, and at a price where if another break occurs I could just as easily replace it than deal with a costly fix. If you need the best camera or extra do-dads (like built in AI, or extra buttons for virtual assistants that I find annoying) you may benefit from paying more, but if you're looking for a solid phone for browsing, streaming or messaging, this is it.

A better than expected budget phone.
Phone functionality:The phone responds quickly to touches and there is a sensitivity setting you can adjust if you put a screen protector on it. It contains the usual bloatware, but most of it can be removed. The camera is pretty good, but is set to very the basic settings out of the box so, you will have to go into the camera settings and adjust them if you want to take nice pics. The Dolby Atmos only works with your Bluetooth device connected. IT DOES NOT HAVE A 3.5mm JACK! The fingerprint sensor is very responsive. I don't use facial recognition so, I'm not sure how well that works. The phone came with Android 14, but a month after the purchase, I was able to upgrade to Android 15. It didn't come with a charger, but I already had a 25 Watt charger and it handles that with no issues plus charges very fast. I'm generally not a fan of Samsung but based on my experience so far, I will recommend this phone to anyone looking for a decent budget phone.

Cheap and Reliable.
Here’s a more concise, personal-style review of the **Samsung Galaxy A16 5G**:---I’ve been using the Galaxy A16 5G for a few weeks, and it’s been great for the price. The screen is bright, performance is smooth for daily tasks, and the battery easily lasts a full day. The camera is decent, and I love that it’s splash-resistant. It’s not flashy, but it’s reliable—and that’s exactly what I needed.---Would you like this version adapted for a specific platform like Amazon or Google Reviews?

Great Phone for the same price as cheap android. Dual SIM via an e-Sim
Fantastic Budget Phone. I won't even call it Budget Phone, because it performs great.Fast charging, screen is vibrant as with all Samsung's. Resolution is always better than the cheap knockoffs.Seriously why bother with those cheap knockoffs when you can get Samsung Quality?I even set up the e-Sim and was able to use Dual SIMs by using one e-Sim. Very lightweight, screen doesn't scratch and phone is very responsive and quick.

Samsung Galaxy A16 5G phone is smart enough and fast enough for your everyday needs.
With prices for smartphones way over $1,000 and you don't care about being trendy this phone is what you want.It meets my everyday needs and is smart enough and fast enough. I appreciate Samsung catering to all price ranges and not just targeting one demographic with only one $1,000+ priced phone selection.Samsung Galaxy A16 5G-Light Grey. Priced under $200.

NOT A MOTOROLA THAT'S FOR SURE
Switched from Moto G Stylus 2022 to Samsung 2025: Phone condition was new - very pretty little phone; I got the "grey" which was almost white. Very light weight compared to Moto Stylus, and size was slightly smaller, but noticeable. Switch from Moto was not as easy as I expected. The functionality is fine but icon driven - Moto Stylus had MANY more features that were SO convenient: (Gestures were great, especially to open the flashlight!! Can't tell you how often that came in handy!) Phone came unlocked so it made the transition to my carrier just fine in that regard. Only had it 2 days but the battery seems to be very good. Sound quality I would say is excellent. I don't like the icons, color schemes and there are WAY too many apps loaded in right off the bat - don't need all of them. Motorola knew how to build a phone. Don't know what all the hype for Samsung is about - it's a nice phone, but really not comparable to my Stylus 2022 which I was just now replacing due to the battery life dying (3 years later??? - Another great feature for Motorola!) We'll see how long this one lasts.

Works well, Double check what SIM tray options.
I had it delivered to an Amazon store. That worked out fine as the arrival date changed twice. Setup was straight forward and moving data and apps from an iOS device worked well although some Apps need to be added manually. It was a gradual learning curve meaning there are many options and commands to remember and inconsistencies between Apps.Although Amazon advertised the phone as dual Sim, the Sim tray unfortunately does not support two Sim cards only a Sim card and an SD memory card. Only found out I needed a special tray when migrating a banking account two months after purchase. As noted, a gradual learning curve.
